About Us
In 1942, the Joe Boehm owned both the Ford tractor and automobile
business in downtown Shiner, Texas. After only six years in operation,
Joe decided to hand over the two businesses to his two sons, Edwin
and Alvin.
The Ford car business was given to Alvin. Joe then bestowed
the tractor sales to son Edwin "Buck" Boehm and, in 1948, Boehm Tractor
Sales, Inc. was born.
Buck and his employees set down roots on the main square of Shiner,
Texas, near the busy railroad station. As his family grew, so did
Buck’s business. His son, Waldo, joined the operation in 1971.
The town square location soon became too small for the growing
agricultural enterprise, and in 1984, the business moved to its current
location at 201 East 16th Street near the north end of Shiner.
The operation presently employs eighteen people that are dedicated to
providing quality customer sales and service.
